Technology Production Supervisor

Job description

Technology Production Supervisor

Position Summary

Technology Production is the layer where client work becomes reliable, repeatable, and scalable — the emails, banners, landing pages, websites, custom applications, and client-specific product implementations our pharma clients depend on. The Technology Production Supervisor is the hands-on technical leader who runs that production day to day.

This is a technical role, not a project management role. You will work closely with project managers and with every department — creative, product engineering, platform, marketing ops, and account teams — but your value is technical: guiding developers, reviewing work, translating ambiguous requests into clear technical requirements, keeping delivery on track, and being the person the team and clients turn to when something needs to get built or fixed. It is the kind of hands-on technical leadership the function's senior developers provide today.

Key Responsibilities

•     Be the SME on everything we produce. Serve as the subject-matter expert on all Technology Production deliverables and products — emails, banners, EHR units, landing pages, WordPress/CMS, custom websites and applications, and our client-specific product implementations.

•     Lead day-to-day technical delivery. Attend project kickoffs, scope work technically, and guide the development team from intake through build, QA, and delivery.

•     Own allocation and resourcing. Decide who works on what, today — balancing a fast-moving agency pipeline where priorities shift and work arrives with little notice.

•     Spot-check quality. Light-touch reviews to catch clearly broken things — not deep code audits. AI, automated tests, and QA increasingly cover this, and other developers can do deeper code reviews when needed; you set the quality bar and step in where it matters (e.g., regulated/MLR accuracy).

•     Triage and resolve technical issues. Act as the first escalation point when something breaks across our sites or deliverables; unblock developers and answer their questions.

•     Translate business needs into technical requirements. Because project managers are not technical, you bridge the gap — turning client and business requests into precise, buildable specs, and telling PMs and clients what's actually needed to get things done.

•     Keep delivery on time. Track developer progress and timelines; flag and resolve risks before they become misses.

•     Partner across departments. Coordinate with creative, product engineering, platform/tech-ops, marketing ops, and account teams; route work to the right place and keep hand-offs clean.

•     Be a technical and client-facing partner. Represent Technology Production credibly to clients on technical matters.

•     Drive automation and AI enablement. Contribute to runbooks and consistent process, and actively apply AI / agentic tools and automated workflows to make production faster, cheaper, and more reliable.

•     Coordinate contractors and vendors. Oversee onshore/nearshore contract developers and keep vendor delivery on standard.

Success Measures

  •  Demonstrates accountability for outcomes and deadlines
  • Builds strong internal and external partnerships
  • Adapts to change with professionalism and resilience
  • Delivers work aligned with quality, timeliness, and business impact

Required Qualifications

•     Strong hands-on web development background — HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern front-end; comfortable reading, reviewing, and debugging code. Full-stack experience is a strong plus.

•     Experience producing the deliverable types we build: HTML emails, banners, landing pages, WordPress/CMS, and custom websites/applications.

•     Experience leading or coordinating developers (or contractors), with the judgment to allocate work and keep a team on track.

•     Ability to translate ambiguous, non-technical requests into clear technical requirements — and to communicate them to PMs, clients, and other departments.

•     Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration; comfortable being client-facing.

•     Strong attention to detail and QA discipline; able to hold work to regulated-content standards.

•     Comfort with agency pace — shifting priorities, tight deadlines, and hands-on allocation.

•     An AI-forward, agentic mindset — actively uses AI and agentic tools (ideally including local models) to speed and improve production, with the discipline to verify output for regulated work.

Preferred Qualifications

•     Pharma / healthcare or other regulated-industry experience (MLR, ISI, job codes).

•     Veeva (Approved Email / CLM) or comparable CRM/marketing-platform experience — or the appetite to own it.

•     DevOps / CI experience and an automation mindset (scripting, AI-enabled workflows).

•     Experience implementing client-specific instances of a product from a shared template/platform.

Work Environment

·        Standard office or remote work environment – Based on Location

·        May require occasional travel or extended hours during peak business periods
