Home and Community Mental Care, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in providing compassionate, in-home therapy to children and families across Beaverton, Oregon. Our remote work setting allows therapists to provide flexible therapy sessions in-home or online, ensuring that professional schedules align with the needs of the families seeking our services. This role offers opportunities to engage with a variety of stakeholders including caregivers, teachers, and other mental health professionals, all focused on the same goal—improving the lives of children and families.

• Conduct individual or group therapy sessions, either in-home or in our community health clinic, focusing on developing personalized treatment plans to address the emotional and behavioral needs of young clients.
• Implement effective strategies to mitigate high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) or physical aggression by teaching practical skills in anger management, coping mechanisms, and social interactions.
• Enhance the decision-making capabilities of both children and caregivers to successfully tackle in-home behavioral challenges through guided frameworks and evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other specialists to devise holistic treatment plans and share insights that enrich the therapeutic process.
• Maintain accurate documentation including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with organizational standards and timelines.
• Engage in regular meetings with colleagues to discuss case outcomes, share best practices, and suggest improvements to service delivery.

This role primarily serves children and adolescents aged 3-20 who are experiencing challenges related to intellectual and developmental disabilities. The focus is on providing them with the support they need to thrive both socially and emotionally. A bilingual capacity, particularly in Spanish or Portuguese, is highly valued, as it enhances our ability to connect with a broader community.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• Possession of an active and unrestricted LMFT license in Oregon is essential.
• Availability for at least 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 4-7 PM; weekend availability is highly preferred.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for travel to clients’ homes are necessary.
• Must pass criminal background checks, including fingerprinting.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support interventions.
• Prior clinical work with children who have intellectual/developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities that cater to youth mental health and engagement.
