• Conduct thorough assessments of students' psychosocial needs, utilizing structured interviews and standardized evaluation tools to identify emotional, social, and academic challenges.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans that align with students' goals while incorporating input from parents and teachers.
• Offer individual and family counseling sessions, providing emotional support to help families manage transitions such as home relocations, parental separation, or academic pressures.
• Advocate for students' rights within the school system, ensuring they have access to necessary resources, including special education services or community programs.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and other educational staff to create a supportive environment that facilitates students’ academic success.
• Regularly monitor students' progress through follow-up assessments and maintain accurate documentation of all interactions, plans, and outcomes in compliance with ethical and state guidelines.
• Lead workshops and group sessions on topics such as stress management, coping strategies, and social skills development for parents and students.
• Stay up-to-date with best practices and regulatory changes within the field of social work, fostering a commitment to continual learning and improvement.

This role primarily focuses on school-aged children and their families, targeting a diverse population with varying socio-economic backgrounds. You will encounter a range of challenges, from typical developmental issues to more complex mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression. • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of California.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a relevant social work role, particularly within educational or community settings.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmental psychology, social work principles, and resources available to families within the school system.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
• Strong assessment and counseling capabilities, with an emphasis on empathy, trust-building, and rapport with children and families.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms used for counseling sessions.

• Experience working within school systems or community mental health environments.
