North Star Behavioral Health System is seeking an Adult Addiction / Substance-Use Disorder Psychiatrist to join our established behavioral health team.

This role is open to 100% Remote, Hybrid, or Onsite arrangements for the right-fit candidate.

Position Details
  • Combination of Adult Addiction/SUD Psychiatrist in the Inpatient and PHP/IOP programs.
  • Successful candidates will thrive in highly team-based treatment team environments. 
  • Flexible scheduling, including block schedules or Monday-Friday.
  • Full-time or part-time options available.
  • Shared weekend coverage, choice of Remote or Onsite (approximately 1:5).
  • One evening of phone-only call per week.
  • Dedicated clinical support staff and multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Optional leadership opportunity available.
  • Teaching and mentoring opportunities available.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
  • Manage treatment plans and medication regimens.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Complete documentation and discharge planning.
  • Provide ongoing care for assigned patients.

Requirements
  • MD or DO degree.
  • BE/BC in Psychiatry through ABPN.
  • 1+ year's previous full-time Inpatient Telehealth experience strongly preferred.   
  • Alaska Physician/Medical License, in good standing.
