Job description

Job Summary
Growing CPA firm seeking knowledgeable and detail-oriented Enrolled Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a comprehensive understanding of tax regulations. As an Enrolled Agent, you will represent clients before the IRS, providing expert guidance on tax-related matters while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. Your expertise in accounting software and financial planning will be essential in delivering high-quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Represent clients during IRS audits, appeals, and other tax-related matters.
  • Provide tax planning strategies to help clients minimize liabilities and maximize returns.
  • Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
  • Utilize accounting and tax software such as CCH Axcess and QuickBooks.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and regulations to provide informed advice to clients.
Requirements
  • Strong financial acumen with a solid understanding of general ledger accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough account analysis.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality service to clients.

Application Question(s):
  • This position will be 25-40 during tax season and 10 to 25 hours at other points during the year. Estimate total hours per year would be about 1,000 hours. Is that something you would be comfortable with?
