Key Responsibilities
  • Provide culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and families, ensuring that individual backgrounds and needs are respected and considered.
  • Facilitate individual and family therapy sessions, tailoring interventions to meet the specific mental health needs identified in assessments.
  • Complete essential administrative tasks such as billing documentation, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms promptly to maintain service efficiency.
  • Develop comprehensive crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention strategies, and wellness plans to assist clients in maintaining stability in their lives.
  • Create thoughtful discharge plans that support transitions back into everyday life while ensuring ongoing support systems are in place.
  • Ensure adherence to current federal and state laws, regulatory requirements, as well as the policies and procedures established by our organization.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development by attending training sessions and continuing education opportunities to enhance therapeutic skills.
  • Engage actively in case consultations and agency meetings to foster a team-based approach to client care.
  • Complete all licensure requirements and mandatory training to ensure compliance and professional standards are met.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will involve diverse client populations, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges. Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field that qualifies for licensure is required.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist in New York (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW).
