This role is generally remote, with occasional travel for meetings, training, customer visits, trade shows, and field time with sales representatives.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Generate and develop new leads through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, marketing follow-up, referrals, and targeted account research.
  • Follow up on inbound leads, CRM leads, website activity, email campaign engagement, ad campaign responses, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain and expand a database of prospects within assigned markets, territories, or target accounts.
  • Identify companies with potential warehouse automation, fulfillment, distribution, labor, space, throughput, or systems integration needs.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer operations, pain points, growth plans, facility needs, and improvement opportunities.
  • Identify decision makers and influencers in operations, supply chain, logistics, warehouse, engineering, continuous improvement, and IT roles.
  • Enter and maintain accurate company, contact, activity, lead, nurture, and opportunity information in CRM.
  • Create quality opportunities when customer need, authority, and intent are present.
  • Coordinate clear, complete handoffs to PeakLogix Sales when sales engagement is justified.
  • Nurture early-stage accounts and create timely follow-up tasks when opportunities are not yet ready for escalation.
  • Develop a working understanding of PeakLogix solutions, including warehouse automation, conveyor, sortation, robotics, WMS/WCS, systems integration, project management, and lifecycle services.
  • Attend training, internal meetings, and assigned field time as needed to build product, industry, territory, and customer knowledge.
  • Meet assigned activity, lead generation, opportunity development, and follow-up goals.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and other internal teams to support pipeline growth and consistent prospecting execution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Prerequisites / Qualifications

  • Previous outbound prospecting experience is required.
  • Previous business development experience with a systems integrator, supply chain solutions provider, warehouse automation company, logistics/distribution company, industrial technology provider, or similar business is required.
  • Experience supporting complex, longer-cycle solution sales is required.
  • Previous CRM experience is required, such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
  • Previous pipeline management, lead management, or opportunity tracking experience is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-up discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify immediate concerns and respond quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to ask effective discovery questions, understand customer needs, and identify immediate concerns or opportunities.
  • Ability to apply common sense, follow instructions, and work through customer or process questions in a practical way.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while producing high-quality, well-documented leads.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, fulfillment, picking, conveyor, robotics, WMS/WCS, or operational improvement concepts preferred.
  • Desire to build a long-term career in business development, sales, or sales support within a complex solutions environment.

Work Environment

  • Generally remote or office-based role with occasional travel for meetings, training, customer visits, trade shows, or field time with sales representatives.
  • Regular use of a computer, phone, and standard office equipment.
  • Occasional visits to customer facilities, warehouses, distribution centers, or industrial environments may be required.
