Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments to understand clients' mental and emotional health, ensuring a comprehensive grasp of their backgrounds and concerns.
• Collaborate with clients to develop tailored treatment plans that target their specific needs, issues, and goals.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions for a diverse range of clients, applying various therapeutic techniques to address mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health challenges.
• Guide couples through therapy sessions, employing communication enhancement strategies and conflict resolution methods to strengthen their relationships.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, demonstrating agility in response to clients’ evolving needs.
• Maintain precise and current client records, including treatment notes and adjustment strategies, ensuring adherence to ethical documentation practices.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaborations with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic support for your clients’ needs.
• Be prepared to intervene in crisis situations, offering immediate support and resources to clients in distress.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and research in marriage and family therapy, making continuous learning a priority.
• Promote clients’ well-being by encouraging self-care practices, thereby empowering them to take an active role in their mental health journey.
• Utilize technology effectively to deliver remote therapy while ensuring a confidential and secure virtual environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapy services provided cater to a diverse clientele, including adolescents navigating challenging life transitions, adults facing mental health struggles or relationship issues, and couples seeking to enhance their partnership dynamics. The age range and socio-economic backgrounds of clients vary widely, allowing for enriching experiences that require adaptability and cultural sensitivity.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.
• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist from the State Board is mandatory.
• Proven experience delivering therapy to individuals and couples, with a focus on practical application of therapeutic techniques.
• Familiarity in working with children, adolescents, and adults, providing an articulate understanding of varying developmental needs.
• Strong organizational skills in completing assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans in a timely manner.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, plus a willingness to learn and utilize electronic health record systems efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a remote therapy setting, demonstrating flexibility and proficiency in virtual communication.
• Background in trauma-informed care, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits
