Job description

This position is open to being remote on the east coast.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Organizational Development and Change, the Senior Manager, Organizational Design will play a key role in the implementation of Organizational Development and Organizational Effectiveness initiatives at Bright Horizons. The individual will collaborate with Department Leaders, HR Business Partners and Talent Management and Learning colleagues to understand business objectives and re-design teams to increase efficiency and achieve strategic business and talent objectives.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Support Sr. Director and HRBPs on organization design and development opportunities
  • Develop strong relationships and strong lines of communication among project team members and the HR Function to allow for effective, on-going collaboration
  • Support the Sr. Director in the design, development and implementation of a roadmap to achieve desired future state, including approach to transform team strategy, structure, systems, and processes as needed
  • Develop the tools to assess resistance and performance gaps; with partners, develop and implement corrective actions
  • Recommend, develop and/or implement learning strategies to address leadership, management, and technical skills training to close performance gaps.
  • Oversee the formulation of training learning objectives, develop training program outlines, and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, meetings, e-learning and workshops.
  • Align on project goals and expectations with project team, HR colleagues and business leaders
  • Identify metrics to evaluate impacts; partner with business to collect and track data
  • Develop strong relationships and strong lines of communication among project team members and the HR Function to allow for effective, on-going collaboration
Job Requirements - Education/Experience Education

Bachelor's Degree required prefers in organizational Development, Leadership, or Psychology.

Experience

5 years of experience in progressive HR / Organizational Design experience required

Preferred Additional Job Experiences
  • 2+ years of progressive HR/OD experience with Masters

  • 1+ years project management experience

  • Experience with re-orgs, integrations, transitions/repositioning

  • Experience in program design, needs assessment, implementation, performance measurement and evaluation
  • Knowledge of adult learning and change management principles
  • Demonstrated ability as a strategic systems thinker
  • Skilled in project management, communication, facilitation and consulting as well as working collaboratively in a diverse work group
  • Ability to work effectively with HR stakeholders and influence colleagues without formal authority
  • Strong business acumen, problem solving, and decision-making ability

  • Ability to anticipate situations, stay on track of trends and develop impactful organizational design solutions

  • Must be a self-starter with strong execution skills

This role will pay in a range of $75K-$85K yearly base and is eligible for a target 5% annual performance bonus. This role has the following employment benefits:
