Position Summary

Insight Global Health is seeking a reimbursement analyst who is responsible for supporting reimbursement, financial, and operational analysis across the health system. This individual will leverage data, reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms to develop meaningful analytics, monitor reimbursement performance, support regulatory reporting, and provide actionable insights to leadership. The role works closely with Reimbursement, Finance, Revenue Cycle, Compliance, and IT teams to ensure accurate reporting and data integrity. 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze reimbursement, revenue cycle, and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and decision support tools.
  • Support HSCRC reporting, reconciliations, and reimbursement compliance activities.
  • Produce recurring and ad hoc financial and reimbursement analyses.
  • Monitor denial trends and assist with government audit reporting.
  • Perform data extraction, validation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Create and maintain key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards for leadership.
  • Partner with IT and operational departments to improve reporting capabilities and data quality.
  • Utilize reporting and business intelligence tools, including Excel, Access, Power BI, and other analytics platforms.
  • Assist with post-acute, SNF, and reimbursement-related reporting initiatives.
  • Support process improvement efforts by automating reporting and reducing manual workflows.
  • Train end users on reporting tools and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of healthcare finance, reimbursement, decision support, revenue cycle, or healthcare analytics experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience working with large datasets and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of hospital reimbursement methodologies, Medicare, Medicaid, or HSCRC regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL, Access, Power BI, Tableau, or other BI platforms.
  • Experience supporting hospital finance, reimbursement, or revenue cycle departments.
  • Knowledge of Maryland HSCRC reimbursement methodologies.
  • Experience with decision support or financial reporting systems.
