POSITION OVERVIEW

SCC is seeking a skilled Tableau Dashboard Developer to design, develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve acquisition and budget dashboards in support of the ICE EPMU mission. This Key Personnel role requires demonstrated expertise in Tableau (and other BI tools), data pipeline development, and stakeholder engagement to deliver daily-refreshed, visually clear, and decision-ready dashboards covering the full contract lifecycle, financial management, and HR onboarding/offboarding data.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet with EPMU stakeholders to gather requirements for acquisitions, budget, and HR dashboards; define update frequency (daily) and reporting needs (PWS Section 3.7.1).

  • Identify, connect, and maintain data pipelines from all relevant sources (contract management systems, FFMS, FileOnQ, spreadsheets, APIs) for automated daily refresh (PWS 3.7.2).

  • Design wireframes, mockups, and interactive Tableau dashboards covering the full acquisition lifecycle, budget spend plans/obligations/expenditures, and HR actions (PWS 3.7.3).

  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) with EPMU stakeholders; incorporate feedback promptly (PWS 3.7.4).

  • Publish and maintain dashboards on Tableau Server or Tableau Online; configure user access permissions and data security protocols (PWS 3.7.5).

  • Monitor daily data refresh jobs; troubleshoot failures and update dashboards to reflect changes in data structure or business requirements (PWS 3.7.6).

  • Provide ongoing training and reference materials to government personnel on dashboard use and functionality.

  • Stay current with Tableau best practices, new features, and alternative BI tools (Power BI, Qlik); implement improvements as directed (PWS 3.7.7).

  • Document all dashboard features, data sources, maintenance procedures, and access control configurations.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (PWS-REQUIRED)

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or equivalent) or equivalent professional experience

  • Minimum two (2) to five (5) years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards and visualizations (per PWS Section 4.3; SCC minimum: 3 years)

  • Experience integrating data from multiple sources including financial systems, acquisition systems, and spreadsheets

  • Experience with ETL processes, data cleaning, and preparation for BI use

  • Experience with databases, data warehouses, and data integration (SQL, Excel, APIs)

  • Experience with requirements gathering, data modeling, and KPI development

  • Experience validating dashboard accuracy, conducting UAT, and troubleshooting issues

  • U.S. Citizenship; must be eligible for and obtain DHS Public Trust clearance


PREFERRED / DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Tableau Desktop Specialist or Tableau Certified Data Analyst certification

  • Experience with Power BI, Qlik, or other BI tools

  • Experience developing acquisition, HR, and budget-related dashboards in a federal environment

  • Experience with Tableau Server or Tableau Online administration

  • Knowledge of DHS/ICE financial systems (FFMS, FileOnQ/WebView)

  • Experience supporting federal contract acquisition lifecycle tracking
