As a Senior LogisticsSystems Engineer at Kuehne+Nagel, you will design, implement, and optimizes IT systems that power contract logistics operations, ensuring seamless integration across warehouse management, transportation, and customer platforms. manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. As a IT Systems lead engineer, yourprimary objective is to be successful in gaining and retaining customer business by offering vertical leading solutions for an Anchor project. Youare a driving force for the design of IT solution and a recognized subject matter expert. You will work with external and internal stakeholders, as well as the customer while focusing on the end to end successful delivery of the project. You will also be key in developing new IT standards , tool and solutions in the vertical. The right candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset and a tendency towards 5S in the workplace.

How you create impact
  • Pre-Sales, Solution Design & Customer Engagement:
    Lead customer discovery and architect scalable contract logistics IT solutions, owning Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), Solution Concept Templates (SCTs), and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) / Detailed Financial Estimates (DFE) to deliver competitive Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and automation strategies.

  • End-to-End Solution Delivery:
    Own full lifecycle delivery across Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS), including build, integration, testing, cutover, and hypercare to ensure successful, stable go-lives.

  • Operational Excellence & Support Leadership:
    Ensure operational readiness through documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer, while providing Level 3 (L3) support and driving proactive problem management to maximize system reliability.

  • Standardization, Governance & Capability Building:
    Establish and enforce scalable standards through reusable architectures and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), while coaching global teams and ensuring consistent quality across implementations.

What we would like you to bring
  • Bachelor Degree in an Information Technology field or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years International experience
  • 2-5 years Leadership experience (direct or virtual)
  • 4-10 years Contract Logistics or 3PL experience required
  • 2-5 years experience as a Senior IT Solutions Designer Specialist
  • 2-5 years Project Management experience
  • 2-5 years in Pharmaceutical or Healthcare or High Tech a plus
