On-site charlotte preferred - open to remote in Charlotte, NC

Our client seeks a Testing Analyst II to test workflow-based systems supporting the iGrid program. The analyst will design and execute test scenarios aligned to business processes, analyze results, and provide evidence-backed findings. The role requires strong root cause analysis to differentiate configuration issues, data issues, expected behavior, and true defects, as well as clear written and verbal communication. Experience with test tools for UI, API, and data validation will be valuable.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $30.00 to $45.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute test scenarios aligned to business processes for workflow-based systems.
  • Evaluate workflow configurations, automations, and rule-based logic to assess outcome impacts.
  • Perform root cause analysis using data, logs, and system behavior to explain failures and outcomes.
  • Document findings with clear evidence and communicate status, risks, and recommendations.
  • Partner with product, development, and operations to validate expected versus actual behavior.
  • Leverage API and UI testing tools to validate integrations and end-to-end flows.
  • Manage test cases and defects using standard test management tools.
Experience Requirements:
  • Experience testing workflow-based systems and business process scenarios.
  • Demonstrated root cause analysis with ability to distinguish configuration, data, expected behavior, and true defects.
  • Comfort with workflow configurations, automations, and rule-based logic.
  • Proficient communication with evidence-backed reporting.
  • Hands-on with test tools and frameworks: Tosca, Robot Framework, Selenium.
  • API testing with Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, and log analysis using Splunk.
  • Exposure to SQL for data validation and reporting; familiarity with SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Experience with JIRA, qTest, or HP ALM; source control such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
  • Nice to have: UI configuration or development background, BI tools knowledge (Tableau, MicroStrategy, Power BI), Python or shell scripting, and collaboration in Miro.
