Job Title: Revenue Cycle Junior Business Systems Analyst

Reports To: Director of Revenue Cycle Management

Location: Remote

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm MST 

Compensation: $15-17/hour

Northpoint Recovery Holdings, LLC, established in 2009, is a growing behavioral healthcare treatment platform treating adults with substance use disorder and co-occurring conditions under the Northpoint Recovery brand and adolescents with mental healthcare conditions under the Imagine by Northpoint brand. POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of the Revenue Cycle Management team, the Junior Business Systems Analyst is an entry-level member of the Revenue Cycle Management team who supports the analysis, testing, documentation, and ongoing optimization of systems and workflows used across Revenue Cycle Management. This position works closely with the Senior Systems Analyst, RCM leadership, system owners, super-users, and cross-functional teams to support system-related initiatives and ensure business needs are accurately translated into system and workflow requirements. The Junior Business Systems Analyst will assist with system testing, workflow analysis, data validation, documentation, reporting support, issue tracking, and implementation activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, organized, comfortable learning new systems, and able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members. This position provides an opportunity to develop foundational experience in healthcare systems, Revenue Cycle Management, system configuration, workflow optimization, and business analysis.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Assist with reviewing RCM processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support the Senior Systems Analyst with system updates, configuration requests, enhancements, and workflow changes.
  • Assist with testing system changes, enhancements, and new functionality, including documenting test results and identified issues.
  • Perform data validation and assist with reviewing reports to identify discrepancies or workflow-related issues.
  • Support application and system troubleshooting by documenting issues and escalating more complex technical matters to the Senior Systems Analyst.
  • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), quality assurance, and peer review activities.
  • Maintain system documentation, workflow documentation, testing records, and process materials.
  • Assist with developing and updating standard operating procedures and user guides.
  • Support system implementation and enhancement projects through planning, testing, documentation, training preparation, and follow-up activities.
  • Work with system owners and super-users to gather information regarding system issues, workflow concerns, and business requirements.
  • Assist with tracking system requests, issues, changes, and outstanding action items through completion.
  • Provide basic application support to assigned user departments and escalate complex issues appropriately.
  • Assist with reporting and analytics requests in partnership with the Systems Analyst and BI/technology teams.
  • Support training activities by preparing materials, documenting processes, and assisting users with system-related questions.
  • Help identify recurring system or workflow issues and communicate trends to the Systems Analyst and RCM leadership.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements when working with protected health information.
  • Support financial and billing audit and data requests.
  • Support and promote the Company's core values, mission, and treatment philosophy.
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree in information systems, health information management, healthcare, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Healthcare, Revenue Cycle Management, or business systems experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience with healthcare systems, EMR/EHR platforms, billing systems, or business applications is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability and willingness to learn healthcare systems and Revenue Cycle Management processes.
  • Ability to analyze information and identify discrepancies or process gaps.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Must be self-motivated, organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Hybrid and onsite flexibility.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    • Interest in healthcare technology and business systems.
    • Familiarity with workflow mapping, testing, or process documentation.
    • Familiarity with Excel and data analysis.
    • Exposure to Power BI or other reporting/analytics tools is a plus.
    • Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, payer guidelines, or Revenue Cycle Management is a plus.
    • Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
    • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
    • Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
