This role will be primarily remote, allowing flexibility while ensuring consistent access to necessary resources and collaboration with fellow professionals. The successful candidate will be embedded within our school mental health team, contributing significantly to the overall health of the student body. You will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other mental health specialists to create a safe and supportive environment for students.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, evaluating personal history, current concerns, and risk factors affecting their well-being.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans in partnership with students, focusing on combating mental health challenges and fostering resilience.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address a spectrum of psychological issues.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, promoting emotional regulation, coping skills, and personal development.
• Collaborate closely with educators and parents to enhance support systems around students, ensuring holistic care and academic success.
• Offer crisis intervention during critical mental health events, including de-escalation techniques and timely referrals for additional care when necessary.
• Conduct psychoeducational sessions to inform students and families about mental health challenges, therapeutic options, and community resources.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and treatment progress, adhering to ethical standards and legal requirements.
• Engage actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights and strategies for effective student support.

As an LCSW in this role, you will primarily work with school-aged children and adolescents, many of whom may face challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your expertise will be vital in creating individualized treatment strategies that facilitate meaningful intervention and support for their mental health needs.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Florida is mandatory.
• A deep understanding of school systems, youth development, and mental health best practices.
• Proficient in crisis intervention techniques and trauma-informed care principles.

• At least two years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, particularly focusing on school-based mental health services.
• Experience working with youth in clinical settings or educational environments.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development in mental health practices and interventions.
