Job description

As a Systems Administrator, you'll support our Cuick Trac Managed Enclave and assist clients on their CMMC / NIST 800-171 compliance journey. You’ll work closely with a skilled technical team to manage cloud infrastructure, troubleshoot user issues, and ensure the performance and security of our systems.
This role requires strong technical aptitude, a proactive mindset, and a client-focused attitude. You’ll represent Beryllium in direct client interactions, so clear communication and professionalism are essential.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure infrastructure components, including Virtual Machines (VMs), virtual networks, firewall policies, and virtual disks.
  • Configure and manage Azure resource groups, subscriptions, and management policies for efficient resource use and compliance.
  • Install, configure, and manage operating systems on Azure VMs, ensuring secure and stable environments.
  • Set up and manage Azure Disk and Microsoft 365 backup solutions.
  • Manage and maintain Azure Host Pools and other virtualized environments.
  • Manage applications within Azure using Microsoft Intune.
Microsoft 365 & Endpoint Management
  • Configure and maintain Azure Entra ID and Intune for device and user management.
  • Support and troubleshoot issues with Microsoft 365 Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Implement, administer, and maintain storage solutions such as SharePoint and Windows File Servers.
Client Support & Service Desk Operations
  • Answer support calls and assist clients with active tickets.
  • Provide technical support to Tier 1 technicians for complex issues.
  • Respond promptly to system alerts and incidents, minimizing downtime.
  • Participate in service desk operations and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Assist with creating and maintaining documentation and internal knowledge base articles.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with internal teams, including Security Operations, Compliance Operations, Development, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure proper configuration and performance of Azure and Microsoft 365 components.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive support and communication.
  • Participate in cross-team troubleshooting of multi-departmental issues.
Security, Compliance & Best Practices
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining compliance with frameworks such as NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, and FedRAMP Moderate.
  • Work with the compliance team to prepare documentation and technical input for audits.
  • Follow and help implement ITIL-based service management best practices.
  • Identify potential risks proactively and work with the team to implement mitigation strategies.
  • Implement and maintain Azure security best practices, including access controls, network segmentation, threat detection, and data encryption.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team environment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in an IT Support or System Administrator Role

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104)
  • Experience with Intune administration
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices
  • Experience using ServiceNow for ticketing and support
