LOCATION: Palatine/Remote- Ability to live out of state

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Reporting to the CEO, the business development sales professional is responsible for driving new business opportunities in our defined niches. Business Development will work closely with the company's executive team, marketing professionals, and estimators to generate leads and close sales for Loberg Construction. Business Development will focus on building long-term relationships with key decision makers and can articulate our value proposition to C-Level executives across multiple industries. He/She needs to understand how to navigate through complex deals over $2M in value and can close them on his/her own.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CREATE OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Drive revenue for the company by establishing relationships with key contacts and decision-makers who lead us to new bidding opportunities
  • Define, develop, and execute the lead qualification and demand generation process for the company
  • Actively network with key strategic partners to promote the company's capabilities and reputation

DRIVE FOR RESULTS:

  • Establish valuable meetings that support the business development and marketing strategies of the organization
  • Develop a strategic sales plan to be executed within your book of business for each market
  • Meet or exceed yearly sales quota accompanied by a commission structure and base salary
  • Track, monitor, and maintain a Sales Pipeline through a CRM database

CULTIVATE RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the internal teams to deliver RFPs, present sales pitches, and close deals
  • Collaborate across departments to lead marketing initiatives such as social media, sales presentations, and event planning
  • Maintain relationships with current clientele and act as an ambassador for Loberg Construction at all industry events

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful related sales experience in Construction Management, Commercial Real Estate, or a related field
  • Experienced working with CRM systems
  • Ability to travel on a minimal basis
  • Experienced closing deals in a consultative sales environment
  • Experienced with sales cycles ranging from 90 days to 16 months
  • Competitive drive and an ability to work as part of a team

  • Demonstrated success in a sales leadership role
  • Passion for developing and mentoring others
  • Proven success selling to C-Suite and business owners
  • Established relationships within the commercial construction industry
