Reports to: People Operations Manager
Rate: $22-23/hr
About the Role:
Join Raintree for a 10-week immersive Summer Internship. As a People Operations Intern, you will dive into every facet of the employee lifecycle, gaining hands-on experience in People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development.
Reporting to the People Operations Manager, you will champion critical processes, from data integrity and compliance to the overall employee experience, making a tangible impact on the team from day one!
Duties and Responsibilities:
People Operations Administration
• Help manage the end-to-end pre-boarding process to ensure new hires have their equipment, access, and welcome materials ready for day one.
• Shadow and help conduct new hire orientation.
• Audit employment documents for federal compliance and ensure digital employee files are accurate and up to date.
• Help manage general HR correspondence, verification requests, and administrative workflows to keep the department running smoothly.
• Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to proactively source top-tier candidates and build strong talent pipelines for open roles.
Employee Experience & Culture
• Coordinate employee recognition initiatives, including milestone celebrations and rewards distribution.
• Assist in drafting and curating content for company-wide newsletters and updates.
• Participate in culture committee meetings to help brainstorm, plan, and execute internal events.
The Capstone Project
• Spearhead the creation of an employee FAQ database designed to help build a scalable, automated People Operations experience. Research, design, and present your final build and strategic insights to People Operations leadership.
Position Proficiencies and Requirements:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in a related field (Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, etc.)
• Previous internship or administrative experience in a fast-paced organization is a plus
• Basic understanding of People Operations functions and best practices
• Strong desire to learn about employment law and People Operations
• Comfortable working in a remote/hybrid environment
• Willingness to work on-site at our Phoenix, AZ office at least 2-3 days per week

• Highly organized and eager to learn with excellent problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Google Suite (experience with HRIS/Paycor a plus)
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate appropriately with employees throughout the organization
• Exceptional attention to detail in every aspect of work
• Ability to handle information with sensitivity and absolute confidentiality
