Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' substance abuse histories and overall mental health status.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address both addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders, ensuring each plan aligns with the client’s unique circumstances and goals.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions by employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, adapting techniques based on client needs.
• Work collaboratively with other treatment team members—including psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers—to provide integrated care that enhances the treatment experience.
• Engage families in the treatment process through education and support, recognizing their essential role in the recovery journey.
• Maintain detailed and accurate progress notes and treatment records, ensuring compliance with both state and federal regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with adults and adolescents who are battling substance abuse and addiction-related issues. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and present a range of co-occurring mental health conditions, allowing for a rich and varied clinical experience.

Qualifications

• A valid license as an LSCSW, LCSW, LCP, LCPC, LCMFT, or PsyD.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Proven experience or specialized training in substance abuse counseling is essential.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices specific to substance abuse and co-occurring disorders is expected.
• Exceptional therapeutic and counseling skills with demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire clients toward recovery.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a community health setting is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically those used for tracking patient care in substance abuse treatment.
• Demonstrated success in engaging clients in their treatment plans and achieving positive outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
