Job description

Job Description
About Company:
We believe our employees empower our company and are the reason behind our success. We are the nation's largest educational consultant and test prep center specializing in credit-by-examination degree paths, headquartered in Wayne, New Jersey.
Most working adults struggle to overcome the many obstacles associated with obtaining their college degree. Achieve acts as a counselor, advocate, and partner, helping students achieve their degree in less time, with less effort, and for less money by utilizing an alternative path to earning college credit known as the credit-by-examination process. Achieve helps students bypass all of the busywork associated with taking certain college courses the traditional way by instead passing just one test-out exam. While our credit-by-examination programs can shorten the path to any degree at virtually any college, the field where we have the most significant impact is the nursing profession.
Employee engagement and development is one of the keys to our success at Achieve! Embracing a work-from-home model for the entire company, all employees enjoy a better work-life balance through flexible work schedules. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace, where diversity is celebrated and equal opportunity is the cornerstone of our culture.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive 'Basecamp Coach' to join our team. This role plays a key part in strengthening our compliance culture, supporting employee development, and ensuring consistent application of Basecamp policies across the organization.
The Basecamp Coach will deliver engaging training sessions, provide targeted coaching to employees, and use data-driven insights to guide performance improvement and accountability.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Deliver impactful training and coaching sessions that reinforce Basecamp principles and standards.
  • Conduct 1:1 coaching interventions with employees who are not meeting Basecamp expectations.
  • Collaborate with team leaders and managers to ensure consistency in coaching approaches and policy application.
  • Track progress and outcomes of coaching engagements, ensuring measurable improvement.
  • Continuously suggest enhancements to Basecamp materials, methods, and processes.

Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation abilities.
  • Proven capability to coach, mentor, and influence others effectively.
  • In-depth understanding of Basecamp policies and compliance standards.
  • Empathy, patience, and professionalism when handling sensitive coaching discussions.
  • Ability to transfer knowledge and facilitate learning
  • Experienced in creating engaging learning experiences that drive results
  • Understands how adults learn and adopt new habits

Interview Preparation
As part of the interview process, shortlisted candidates will be asked to walk the panel through a coaching plan.
Scenario: You are assigned to coach an employee who is non-compliant with Basecamp standards.
Be prepared to explain:
  1. How would you assess the situation and identify the root causes?
  2. The structure and frequency of your coaching sessions?
  3. How would you track and measure progress?
  4. Your approach to communication and motivation?
  5. How would you address setbacks or continued non-compliance?
  6. What does a successful outcome look like?

Candidates should come prepared to discuss their approach in detail, including their thought process and strategies at each stage, from first intervention to final resolution.
