About the Role

If you've worked with Student Information Systems and are passionate about helping institutions modernize the student experience, The Student First partnership is expanding Blackbaud's Higher Education strategy and we're looking for a Senior Solutions Consultant with deep Student Information System (SIS) expertise to help shape how colleges and universities evaluate modern SIS, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, payment processing, and connected campus solutions. Together, Blackbaud and Student First will deliver a best-in-classConnected Campusexperience that reduces complexity and campus silos, unifying enrollment, financial aid, scholarships, advancement and finance into a single operating model. You'll play a key role in building our SIS practice while helping institutions solve some of their most complex operational challenges. As a Senior Solutions Consultant, you'll combine your Higher Education expertise with consultative problem-solving to help colleges and universities evaluate and modernize the technology that powers the student lifecycle. Working closely with Sales, you'll guide institutions through discovery, validation, and solution evaluation while helping them understand how modern technology, automation, payments, and emerging AI capabilities can support institutional goals and improve student outcomes. You'll be one of our first dedicated SIS specialists, helping shape how we support Higher Education institutions, validate complex solutions, and scale our go-to-market strategy. You'll have the opportunity to influence best practices, enablement, customer experiences, and the future of Higher Education Solutions Consulting at Blackbaud.

What You'll Do

  • Lead discovery conversations with stakeholders across admissions, enrollment, registrar operations, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, IT, and executive leadership.
  • Design and lead validation experiences that help institutions evaluate business, operational, and technical fit.
  • Deliver compelling demonstrations, workshops, and proof scenarios aligned to customer priorities.
  • Advise customers on SIS modernization, process improvement, payment processing, integrations, reporting, and change management.
  • Help customers understand how automation and emerging AI capabilities can support institutional effectiveness.
  • Support RFPs, technical evaluations, proof-of-concept activities, and executive presentations.
  • Partner closely with Student First and internal Blackbaud teams to deliver successful customer outcomes.
  • Create reusable demo experience assets, enablement resources, and best practices that help scale Blackbaud's SIS expertise.

What You'll Have

  • 5+ years of Higher Education SIS experience.
  • Strong understanding of admissions, enrollment, registration, academic records, and student services.
  • Experience working within Higher Education or supporting Higher Education technology solutions.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and consultative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build credibility with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Experience with student finance, billing, and payment processes.
  • Experience with SIS platforms such as Banner, Colleague, Workday Student, PeopleSoft, Anthology Student, or Jenzabar.
  • Experience in consulting, implementation, solutions consulting, or sales engineering.
  • Familiarity with AI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives in Higher Education.
  • Familiarity with Blackbaud solutions, including Raiser's Edge NXT, Financial Edge NXT, and Blackbaud Integrated Payments.

The starting base salary and annual proposed commission is $98,400.00 to $127,000.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, sales quota, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
