Blueprint Prep is hiring a person to join our medical school admissions advising staff to help our students navigate the process. In particular, we are looking for individuals who have served in the admissions office or on the admissions committee at a US or Canadian medical school,  or who have substantial experience advising undergraduate students on the admissions process. This would be a part-time position, from any location.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with students via email, video conference, and phone
  • Work with Blueprint management staff to receive and kick-off student engagements and report progress as needed
  • Please note: under no circumstances do Blueprint admissions personnel write any material for students, attempt to intercede directly with law school admissions personnel on students' behalf, or engage in any other unprofessional or unethical behavior
  • Blueprint offers its admission consultants a number of attractive benefits, including:

A schedule that is convenient for the consultant, with appointments scheduled at mutually convenient times. Consultants may choose to work as many as 25 hours per week or as few as 5 hours per week. The consultants' client list can be adjusted to meet the consultant's background and the clients' needs

Qualifications

  • B.A. or B.S. is required.
  • First-hand expertise in the medical school admissions process as medical school admissions staff or faculty, undergrad pre-med advisor, or professional medical school admissions consultant.
  • Experience working directly in an advisory role with students seeking admission to med school.
  • "Soul of a teacher" - highly interested and motivated in helping students achieve their professional goals through accurate information, realistic expectations, and hard work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated ability to set goals, meet deadlines, and successfully manage multiple assignments and contacts.
