Overview
Tech Solutions is seeking a dependable and self-sufficient IT Support Technician to join our team. This is a part-time, primarily remote position with occasional onsite field work at client locations within a 50-mile radius of Long Beach, CA.


We are an MSP supporting healthcare, accounting, and legal clients. This role requires someone who can operate independently, troubleshoot efficiently, and handle real-world client environments without constant guidance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote support for desktops, laptops, printers, and network-related issues
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, user accounts, and access-related issues
  • Perform onsite support and installations at client locations (typically 1–2 times per week as needed)
  • Install and configure workstations, printers, and network-connected devices
  • Assist with basic server-related tasks (Active Directory, user management, permissions, shared resources)
  • Troubleshoot basic networking issues (connectivity, DHCP, DNS, firewall awareness)
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in the ticketing system
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients
  • Take ownership of issues from start to resolution, escalating only when necessary


Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT support within a helpdesk or MSP environment
  • Working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and user/device troubleshooting
  • Basic experience with Active Directory and server environments
  • Foundational understanding of networking (IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, routers/firewalls)
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Long Beach, CA
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
