Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Structural Engineer (PE required) to support and lead structural engineering efforts within a growing in-house AEC practice. This role is responsible for designing and producing stamped structural documents across healthcare, institutional, and commercial projects while supporting multidisciplinary coordination and project delivery from concept through construction.
The ideal candidate will serve as a key technical resource, helping shape structural engineering standards, improve workflows, and ensure high-quality structural design across all projects.
Key Responsibilities

Structural Design & Engineering

  • Design and produce stamped structural construction documents
  • Perform structural analysis, load calculations, and member sizing
  • Design foundations based on soil, loading, and occupancy conditions
  • Select and evaluate structural systems during early design phases
  • Coordinate structural integration with architectural design (grid, spacing, heights, systems)
BIM & Coordination

  • Coordinate structural scope within Revit/BIM environments
  • Collaborate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and consulting teams
  • Resolve structural coordination conflicts during design development
Construction Support

  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals
  • Conduct site visits and construction observations
  • Coordinate with geotechnical engineers on foundation and soil conditions
  • Ensure compliance with codes and construction documents
Standards & Development

  • Develop structural standards, details, and templates
  • Improve internal engineering workflows and BIM standards
  • Support continuous improvement of engineering practices
Business Development Support

  • Support proposals, interviews, and client presentations
  • Provide technical input for pursuit strategies
  • Represent structural expertise in client and consultant discussions
Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering
