THE MODULAR TEAMModular solutions by CEI anticipate and solve ongoing problems for data center operators. Our proven, factory-built and tested data center infrastructure products bring deployments online faster, more reliably, and with less risk than conventional methods.
ABOUT THE ROLEThe Assistant Constructability Manager plays a critical role in shaping CEI's modular ecosystem-merging digital design, fabrication, and installation into one seamless workflow. This position supports the Constructability Manager in managing design reviews, BIM coordination, vendor collaboration, and field constructability validation across multiple hyperscale data center programs.
You'll help lead the effort to standardize and scale CEI's modular design approach-developing, maintaining, and continuously improving Modular BIM Standards, Form Factor templates, and workflows that connect the design, fabrication, and field execution processes.
A key part of this role involves assisting in early LOD 100 model development, where constructability feedback has the greatest influence on product efficiency and repeatability. Working closely with Product Development and BIM teams, you'll help shape foundational model form factor, equipment placement, and spatial coordination before designs advance to higher levels of detail-ensuring every concept is grounded in real-world buildability.
This role is hands-on and detail-oriented but also creative and strategic-balancing precision engineering with practical field insight to deliver efficient, buildable, and standardized modular solutions.
  • Assisting in early LOD 100 model development to establish constructability-driven foundations for modular design.
  • Reviewing Revit models, drawings, and IFM deliverables for constructability, prefabrication readiness, and alignment with CEI modular standards.
  • Assisting in the development, maintenance, and enforcement of Modular BIM Standards, including shared parameters, family structures, and visual styles.
  • Leading the creation and upkeep of Form Factor templates-standardizing skid geometry, structural framing, raceway coordination, and mounting layouts across programs.
  • Supporting the evolution of CEI's modular workflows, ensuring alignment between Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Coordinating design integration between Product Development, BIM, and Fabrication to resolve issues early and maintain efficiency.
  • Reviewing vendor IFC and DXF files for accuracy, structural alignment, and compliance with CEI standards.
  • Supporting submittal workflows, fabrication release tracking, and asset management within ACC.
  • Preparing constructability review packages, narratives, and QA/QC documentation for milestone transmittals.
  • Contributing to process automation and data integrity efforts linking Revit models to fabrication assets and project management tools.
  • Collaborating with BIM Coordinators and Product Developers to drive consistency, improve speed, and reduce rework across all modular programs.

Goals & Objectives
  • Deliver constructability reviews and model audits on schedule and with precision.
  • Maintain and continuously improve modular design standards, templates, and digital workflows.
  • Advance the consistency and scalability of CEI's modular product lines.
  • Support innovation in prefab and modular construction through feedback and field-driven iteration.
  • Drive alignment between design teams, fabricators, and field crews for smoother installations and fewer design changes.
  • Be a champion for digital craftsmanship-ensuring models are not just correct, but buildable.

ABOUT YOU
  • Strong understanding of modular construction, BIM coordination, and electrical/structural systems integration.
  • Skilled in Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam Revu, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Ability to lead the creation and enforcement of modeling standards and templates.
  • Capable of reviewing complex 3D models and identifying constructability risks.
  • Proficient at coordinating across multi-disciplinary teams and vendors.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to translate field feedback into digital design improvements.
  • Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety provisions.
  • Proactive mindset with a passion for efficiency, quality, and innovation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAny combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education & Experience: Technical Certificate or degree in Construction Management, Engineering Design, or related field with 3-5 years of experience in BIM coordination, constructability review, or prefabrication; or equivalent field experience as a licensed electrician, BIM modeler, or fabrication coordinator supporting modular or design-build environments.
