Civil Structural EngineerOverview

A growing engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer / Building Envelope Consultant to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial building projects involving structural assessments, waterproofing systems, exterior building enclosures, roofing systems, and parking structures.

The ideal candidate is a skilled problem solver with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage projects from investigation and design through construction implementation.

Requirements
  • E.I.T. or P.E. registration preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the design, evaluation, and rehabilitation of commercial buildings, building envelopes, waterproofing systems, roofing systems, parking garages, and related structures.

  • Experience performing structural investigations, condition assessments, diagnostic testing, and evaluation of existing buildings and building components.

  • Strong understanding of structural analysis, repair design, and construction documentation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to prepare proposals, technical reports, specifications, and repair documents.

  • Strong client relationship and project management skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field investigations, condition assessments, and structural evaluations of existing buildings and structures.

  • Diagnose structural and building envelope deficiencies and develop practical repair solutions.
