Utilizing a strategic mindset, the Engineering Manager in our Facilities market sector focuses on operations and business development with a strategic mindset. This role steps confidently into client-facing conversations while successfully balancing a variety of projects. As a leader in the community, this role contributes to the growth of the organization by identifying, pursuing, and supporting new business and project opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, build, and manage relationships with strategic partners and customers, both public and private, to build a pipeline of projects.
  • Lead engineering design and project management for Facilities projects, including interacting directly with clients to ensure successful project delivery
  • Identify pursuits and position market sector to secure new business in existing and new markets
  • Work with other internal market sectors to develop joint pursuits and encourage cross selling to existing clients
  • Mentor and develop team members in both technical skills and professional growth
  • Assist with proposals, presentations, and participation in professional organizations and tradeshows
  • Ability to travel nationwide as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned/commensurate with a senior engineer role
Qualifications

Our ideal candidate enjoys collaborating with a team and diving into new challenges, and will have the following qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, mechanical, or structural Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Professional Engineering license in area of expertise
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible work experience
  • Exceptional skills in team leadership, coordination, and support
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with groups both internally and externally
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel. 

Additional Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • Five years of demonstrated experience managing multiple clients and projects while overseeing a team, or teams, of people.
