This hybrid, customer-facing role is ideal for an early-career engineer or technically minded professional who enjoys solving manufacturing challenges, working directly with customers, and learning industrial automation technologies. You will assess customer production lines, recommend effective tooling and lifting solutions, support implementation, and collaborate with sales, application engineering, and technical services teams to deliver customized, ergonomic, and efficient solutions. Air Power welcomes both experienced professionals and motivated recent graduates and provides structured onboarding, hands-on technical training, and long-term growth opportunities in a well-established industrial solutions business.

Key Responsibilities

Tooling & Material Handling Consultation:

  • Evaluate customer assembly lines to identify needs for industrial torque tools, advanced assembly solutions, and line integration.
  • Advise customers on safe, ergonomic, and efficient methods for moving raw materials, work-in-progress, and heavy loads.
  • Assess existing pneumatic and electric tool setups to identify opportunities for upgrades, optimization, and automation.

Solution Configuration & Deployment:

  • Recommend, specify, and configure industrial tools and material handling systems based on customer production and payload requirements.
  • Design tool station layouts to ensure compatibility across power systems, structural components, and electronic controls.
  • Program, calibrate, and configure process controls for electronic fastening systems and connected tools during deployment.

Page Break

Technical Support & Demonstrations:

  • Lead in-person and virtual demonstrations of lifting equipment, workstations, and precision assembly tools for prospective customers.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and preventive maintenance guidance for material handling equipment and automated tool networks.
  • Train operators and maintenance teams on safe handling, proper use, and downtime reduction.

Project Collaboration & Administration:

  • Partner with engineering and project management teams to develop turnkey assembly cells, custom fixtures, and material transport systems.
  • Track industry trends, safety regulations, and product advancements to recommend next-generation solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, computer engineering, IT/network engineering, manufacturing technology, or a related field. Recent graduates with strong internships, co-op, or hands-on capstone experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience: 0–5 years in technical support, application engineering, industrial sales, or systems troubleshooting. We provide full onboarding and training for entry-level candidates with strong technical fundamentals and an interest in manufacturing automation.
  • Technical Skills (Engineering Pathway): Foundational knowledge of industrial machinery, hand tools, automated fastening systems, pneumatic systems, or material handling equipment.
  • Technical Skills (IT/Networking Pathway): Familiarity with industrial networking protocols such as EtherNet IP or Modbus, database management, hardware-software integration, data collection, or connected devices.
  • General Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience using AI tools to improve performance and efficiency is a plus.
