Job description

Job Title: Pallet Vendor Sourcing Specialist

Location: Remote - Atlanta, GA preferred

Travel Requirement: Some travel required (regional/national as needed)

Reports To: General Manager / Procurement Manager

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Pallet Vendor Sourcing Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and establishing relationships with new pallet vendors to support our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the pallet industry, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to vendor outreach and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

· Identify and qualify new pallet vendors across targeted geographic regions.

· Some travel to meet with potential and existing vendors to build and maintain strong relationships.

· Evaluate vendor capabilities, quality standards, pricing, and lead times.

· Maintain consistent daily communication with vendors to monitor available stock, pricing changes, and supply capacity.

· Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules in alignment with company objectives.

· Collaborate with internal logistics and procurement teams to forecast pallet needs and align vendor capabilities accordingly.

· Maintain up-to-date records of vendor contacts, performance metrics, and inventory availability.

· Stay current on industry trends, market fluctuations, and potential supply risks.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the pallet industry (procurement, sales, logistics, or vendor relations preferred).

· Strong knowledge of pallet types, grades, and industry standards.

· Willingness and ability to travel to meet with vendors.

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

· Proficiency in using CRM systems, spreadsheets, and communication tools.

· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple vendor relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Existing network of pallet vendors or industry contacts.

· Experience working with both recycled and new pallet suppliers.
