Job description

Zions is seeking a NonStop Systems Engineer that will provide operational support for TREO's HPE-NonStop compute platform. This is a highly converged, fault-tolerant system on which we host our critical ATM and card processing system, Base24. The individual will support the full technology stack for this platform; including operating system, data stores, utilities, capacity, monitoring, automation, deployments, replication, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and designs technical solutions to address business needs.
  • Troubleshoots systems to increase quality of systems.
  • Identifies, investigates and proposes solutions to technical problems.
  • Develops, tests, and modifies software to improve efficiency of internal operating systems.
  • Provides technical support for issues surrounding software/hardware failures and the like.
  • Monitors server performance to maintain consistent up time. Provides technical expertise where required within Information Technology Projects.
  • Prepares and maintains necessary documentation.
  • Highest level may function as a lead.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelors in computer science, information systems or other related field
  • 6+ years programming, systems analysis or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
  • Employs advanced knowledge as a generalist or specialist of programming and systems analysis and related applications.
  • Requires strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Requires strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with both management and staff employees.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to set and maintain high quality work standards.
  • Ability to lead a group.

Location:

This position can be located 100% remote within the United States or located at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.

Pay Range: $146,000 - $170,000 (Based upon relatable skills/experience)
