You work with students every day! Phone calls in, out, guidance to students on choosing the correct courses, the correct school, and more! You will help students through the entire life cycle of the program from the initial call request for information, through classes, and hopefully graduation! We are one of the few departments that talk directly to students and parents. This position is heavily imprinted in our phone call queue. Experience taking calls, making calls, de-escalating calls as needed, and a general passion to help students is required. This position is an integral role in the success of our IS Academies. The focus of an advisor is to work with clients or mentors and program personnel toward improving student outcomes, increasing engagements, and alerting key internal personnel as issues arise. The academy support advisor proactively develops and maintains strong relationships with our clients. You may escalate issues and general questions through the life cycle of the program as raised by the client. Additionally, this role may provide occasional one on one training to clients on the platform, navigation, and keys to success.

Position Information: This is a regular, full-time position. This role reports to an Academy Operations Supervisor.

Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $16.84 and $20.00/hour. Eligible employees may also receive annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.

Location: In this US-based position your location will be remote.

Envision Your Experience.

In this role you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Act as point of contact for partnering schools, individuals, families, and students.
  • Proactively reach out to clients and/or families (individuals) regarding engagement with the program by phone
  • Program management by Onboarding clients and/or families, training, program/graduation path assistance, general check ins, and more.
  • Facilitate kick off calls, outlining processes and procedures, expectations, and involve other team members as needed.
  • Reach out to clients and students directly to assist with improving student outcomes.
  • Ensure all documents are accounted for to complete admissions and enrollment for all students.
  • Use technology tools and programs to ensure client success (may include Zendesk, DocuSign, SIS platforms, LMS platforms, Parchment, and more).
  • Other duties as required.

Share Your Expertise.

Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience working in education or with middle and high school aged students, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
  • Previous work experience with at-risk students preferred.
  • High level of internal motivation, with excellent verbal and written communication, assertiveness, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to self-motivate and self-direct, and ability to handle multiple priorities with demanding time frames.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours.
  • Able to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to provide a current Fingerprint Clearance Card or provide proof of application within 14 days of hire.
