Job description

ResolveSoft, Inc. is seeking an experienced Database Developer/Administrator to support government client. This is a Key Personnel role requiring deep expertise in IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, and AWS-based database environments. The DBA will be responsible for database design, development, administration, performance tuning, and documentation across all phases of the SDLC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•      Design, implement, and administer large-scale, complex relational database models and back-end server solutions.

•      Provide database support across all environments (development, test, staging, production) throughout the full SDLC.

•      Develop and maintain database standards and best practices; perform database design using ERWin and other modeling tools.

•      Troubleshoot and resolve database performance, capacity, replication, and distributed data issues.

•      Create and maintain DB scripts, stored procedures, and automation routines for system maintenance.

•      Monitor and optimize database environments for efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

•      Produce data-based reports, ad-hoc statistical reports, and data extracts for internal and external stakeholders.

•      Develop and enforce policies and procedures for database security and data integrity.

•      Implement data models, database designs, data access layers, and table maintenance code.

•      Collaborate with development teams, infrastructure partners, and agency stakeholders.

•      Maintain comprehensive documentation of all database designs, schemas, and architectural decisions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

•      7+ years of experience in database design, administration, and analysis.

•      Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and MS SQL replication architectures.

•      5+ years of experience in logical and physical data modeling.

•      3+ years of hands-on experience with IBM DB2 8.2 in IBM/AIX environments and AWS.

•      Experience with ERWin, MS Access, MS Visual Studio, IBM WebSphere (JDK 8), and Azure.

•      Familiarity with Agile Scrum development methodology.

•      Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and PIV card (NACI).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•      Power BI implementation experience with MS SQL Server.

•      IBM Certified Database Administrator – DB2 for Linux, Unix, and Windows.

•      Experience in a federal government IT environment.

•      Familiarity with workers' compensation claims database environments.

SECURITY / BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION

Public Trust (NACI). Must be eligible to obtain a federal PIV badge. U.S. citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
