Job Title: Social Media Content Specialist

Location: Remote - Candidate must reside in Florida

Position Summary:

This role reports directly to the SE Senior Social Media Strategist on the Digital Marketing team within the Marketing Department. We are seeking a highly motivated, fast-moving, and creatively driven Ground Game Social Media Content Specialist to lead in-field content capture and community-driven storytelling across Florida, with the opportunity to scale into additional markets.

This role is dedicated to building Trulieve's "ground game" social presence- capturing authentic, real-time content from the communities we operate in. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, is energized by being in the field, and has a strong instinct for identifying and capturing culturally relevant moments as they happen. You will be responsible for attending events, store activations, local partnerships, and community moments to capture content that fuels weekly social storytelling - including recaps, UGC-style edits, and engagement-first content. This position is equal parts content creator, storyteller, and social operator - someone who understands how to turn raw, real-world moments into high-performing digital content across platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Content Execution:

  • Act as the primary on-the-ground social content lead across Florida markets
  • Travel to community events, store openings, activations, and brand moments to capture real-time content
  • Identify and capture culturally relevant moments that reflect local communities and brand presence
  • Build a consistent cadence of in-field content that feeds weekly social storytelling

 

Content Creation & Production:

  • Conceptualize, shoot, and edit high-quality video and photo content optimized for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, and emerging channels

Develop weekly content outputs including:

  • Event recaps
  • Community highlight reels
  • UGC-style edits
  • Engagement-driven posts (polls, reactions, trends)
  • Transform field capture into polished, platform-native edits with strong hooks, pacing, and storytelling

Community & Engagement Focus:

  • Create content that emphasizes community connection, authenticity, and local brand relevance
  • Partner with influencers, brand ambassadors, and community participants to co-create authentic content
  • Capture and repurpose UGC-style content that feels organic and relatable Trend & Platform Optimization
  • Stay ahead of emerging social trends, formats, sounds, and platform updates
  • Apply trend insights to field content in near real-time when possible
  • Optimize content based on platform best practices and performance learnings

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with marketing, retail, design, and digital teams to ensure content aligns with brand priorities and campaigns
  • Support broader social initiatives with field-driven content that complements paid, influencer, and brand campaigns

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Content Creator, ideally with infield or event-based content capture experience
  • Strong proficiency in video editing, photography, and mobile-first content production tools
  • Deep understanding of social-first storytelling and platform behavior
  • Ability to operate independently in fast-paced, real-world environments
  • Strong creative instincts with a bias toward action and speed
  • Organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple shoots and deliverables

 

Travel & Work Environment:

  • 40-50% travel across Florida (with future expansion to additional markets)
  • Must be comfortable working in the field at events, retail locations, and community environments
  • Flexibility required - evenings, weekends, and event-based schedules

 

Work Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling based on business and event needs
  • Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays required Role Evolution (Future Scope)
  • Initial focus on Florida ground game execution
  • Opportunity to expand coverage into additional markets as the program scales
  • Potential to help define and standardize ground game content strategy across regions
