What You'll Doย 

As a Financial Aid Advisor, you will serve as a trusted resource for students and families by:ย 

  • Guiding students through the financial aid process, from FAFSA completion to award packagingย 
  • Reviewing and analyzing financial aid applications to determine eligibility for federal, state, and institutional aidย 
  • Awarding and adjusting aid packages in compliance with all applicable regulations and policiesย 
  • Counseling students and families through individual appointments, workshops, phone calls, email, and virtual toolsย 
  • Managing verification files, resolving discrepancies, and submitting required correctionsย 
  • Evaluating special and unusual circumstances with sound judgment and empathyย 
  • Collaborating across departments to support enrollment, retention, and student satisfactionย 
  • Presenting at orientations, information sessions, and student forumsย 
  • Supporting exit counseling for students who withdraw or graduateย 
  • Contributing to team initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and university eventsย

What You Bringย

Qualifications and Experienceย ย 

  • 2-3 years of experience working directly with students and families in Financial Aid ย ย 
  • Working knowledge of Title IV financial aid regulations ย ย 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not requiredย
