Job description

Commercial Energy Broker
Department: Sales
Employment Type: Contract
Location: Remote - Manchester, NH
Compensation: $50,000 - $250,000 / year
Description
Build your own book of commercial energy clients with remote flexibility, uncapped commission potential, 100+ supplier relationships, and a full platform of procurement, solar, EV charging, battery storage, and efficiency solutions.
Why Join Us?
This is a commission-based opportunity for self-directed producers who want control over their market, schedule, pipeline, and earning potential. You will work with commercial and industrial clients to reduce energy costs, compare supplier options, improve contract strategy, and evaluate energy solutions that support cost savings, efficiency, sustainability, and infrastructure growth.
What makes this opportunity different is the range of solutions you can bring to the table. You are not limited to one product or a single transaction. Through Navigate Power and Verde Solutions, you can support clients across electricity, natural gas, supplier strategy, solar, EV charging, battery storage, energy efficiency upgrades, and broader energy-management projects.
You bring the relationships, discipline, and drive to create opportunities. We provide access to more than 110 suppliers across the country, pricing tools, proposal support, training, marketing resources and back-office infrastructure to help you price, present, close, renew, and expand your business.
This role is built for producers who are comfortable creating their own pipeline and growing income through new business, renewals, referrals, and expanded client solutions. For the right person, this is not just another commission role. It's a business-building opportunity in a market every commercial client has to care about: energy.
About Navigate Power & Verde Solutions
Navigate Power helps commercial and industrial clients make smarter electricity and natural gas decisions through supplier access, market guidance, procurement strategy, and energy management support.
Verde Solutions expands that value with solar, EV charging, battery storage, energy efficiency, and turnkey project support for businesses looking to reduce costs, modernize facilities, and improve sustainability.
Together, Navigate Power and Verde Solutions give Commercial Energy Advisors a stronger way to compete: more supplier options, more solutions to offer, and more ways to create long-term client value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and scale your own book of commercial and industrial clients through targeted prospecting, referrals, local business networks, strategic partnerships, and existing relationships.
  • Target accounts where energy costs, expiring supplier agreements, facility upgrades, multi-location usage, or sustainability goals create a clear business opportunity.
  • Engage business owners, executives, property managers, facility leaders, operators, and finance teams in conversations tied to cost control, risk reduction, and smarter energy decisions.
  • Review utility bills, usage patterns, contract timing, facility needs, and business priorities to uncover savings opportunities and shape the right energy strategy.
  • Present electricity and natural gas procurement options with clear supplier comparisons, market insight, contract guidance, and client-specific recommendations.
  • Expand client value beyond procurement by introducing solar, EV charging, battery storage, efficiency upgrades, and sustainability projects when they create a strong business case.
  • Drive qualified opportunities from discovery to proposal, agreement, implementation handoff, and renewal with support from pricing, operations, proposal, customer support, and project teams.
  • Maintain strong follow-up, pipeline discipline, and client communication to move opportunities forward and shorten the sales cycle.
  • Grow long-term account value through renewals, referrals, cross-sell opportunities, contract timing strategy, and ongoing relationship management.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Proven success generating and closing self-sourced B2B opportunities in commercial sales, business development, consulting, or account acquisition.
  • Strong prospecting discipline, with the ability to turn targeted outreach, referrals, networking, and existing relationships into a qualified pipeline.
  • Confidence engaging business owners, executives, property managers, facility leaders, operators, and finance teams in conversations tied to cost, risk, efficiency, and ROI.
  • Consultative selling skills, including the ability to uncover business priorities, navigate multiple stakeholders, present a compelling recommendation, and move opportunities toward a decision.
  • Entrepreneurial discipline to manage your own schedule, pipeline, proposals and long-term client relationships.
  • Comfort working in a commission-based environment where earnings are driven by consistent activity, closed business, renewals, and account growth.
  • Ability to explain supplier options, contract structures, savings opportunities, market conditions, and energy solutions in clear business terms.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, organization, and follow-through throughout a commercial sales cycle.
  • Experience in energy, utilities, solar, facilities management, commercial real estate, property management, financial services, telecom, merchant services, or another relationship-driven B2B industry is preferred.
  • Existing commercial relationships or referral partnerships are valuable, but the ability to build new relationships is more important.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Commission-Based Earnings
Achieve between $50,000 - $250,000 per year with no income ceiling.
  • Flexible Remote Work
Fully remote position, allowing you to choose the location that best supports your success.
  • Grow Your Experience
Fuel your entrepreneurial growth in the energy industry with our companies' resources and support. Develop your skills, expand your business network. Or grow your own business and create a team to lead impactful energy solutions.
