Senior Project Manager - Solar Construction
Department: Project Management

Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead multiple community-scale solar projects from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building high-performing teams, and wants to play a key role in the continued growth of a leading solar EPC organization.
This position is eligible for remote work. However, preference will be given to candidates located in the Northeast or along the East Coast, particularly those within or near our primary operating regions.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of community-scale solar EPC projects from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and according to contract requirements
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and project documentation
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize schedule and cost impacts
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and field teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Lead, mentor, and support project teams throughout all phases of project delivery
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and professional development opportunities to project team members
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing across the organization
  • Partner with senior leadership to evaluate and improve project management processes, systems, and procedures
  • Help develop scalable project delivery programs that support company growth
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance project execution
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project owners and key stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and consultants
  • Provide proactive communication regarding project progress, milestones, risks, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with business development and sales teams to support customer success and future opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Oversee quality control measures throughout project execution
  • Proactively identify and resolve project challenges, conflicts, and technical issues
  • Support a strong safety culture and adherence to all company and site-specific safety requirements

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience with at least 3 years supporting solar energy, renewable energy, or related infrastructure projects
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously from planning through commissioning
  • Strong understanding of EPC project delivery methods
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and customer relationships
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Procore, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • LEED accreditation or other renewable energy certifications
  • Experience with community-scale or utility-scale solar projects
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving process improvements
  • Preferred in PA or Northeastern US State
