Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)
Will provide hands-on leadership and direction to the Company Electrical Engineering group.
Manage the engineering of MV collection systems, HV substations, and overhead/underground transmission lines (typically 34.5kV up to 500kV), and BESS/Solar plants.
Manage external Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) firms.
Coordinate with EPC partners on design constructability reviews, budget adherence, and technical risk mitigation.
Approve technical specifications for major capital equipment.
Manage third-party engineering vendors and consultants to deliver design packages for BESS projects.
Oversee engineering deliverables across Civil, Electrical, Controls, Scada, and Structural disciplines, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
Oversee the development of protection and control philosophies, including relay settings, metering, SCADA integration, and telecommunications.
Support power delivery engineering for substations, interconnection, and on-site distribution systems tied to BESS operations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and permitting requirements.
Work closely with procurement, construction and operations teams to integrate engineering deliverables into overall project schedules.
Provide technical input during site selection, land acquisition, and utility planning.

Works within general guidelines; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems for a function.
Regularly manages large-scale projects/activities or a very closely related set of projects/activities.


Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Previous work leadership or senior level contributor experience.
Typically requires minimum of 10+ years in Electrical Power Systems.

Salary information 

Salary range:  $154,231.89 - $196,645.66
