As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive and ongoing assessments to understand and meet the individual needs of your patients.
• Facilitating communication among supervisors, clients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated care and track progress.
• Creating and maintaining a detailed schedule of appointments and follow-up services, including home visits and observations, for optimal patient care.
• Implementing and monitoring program plans, ensuring they are executed effectively to address client goals.
• Participating actively in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings to collaborate on client care strategies.
• Documenting patient progress through monthly and quarterly notes and maintaining clear and organized records.
• Training and supporting team members in the implementation of treatment plans and documentation practices.
• Providing ongoing follow-up support through interviews and visits to address any ongoing or emerging needs.
• Acting as a liaison with the broader mental health community to promote collaborative growth and development.

In this role, you will work with a diverse client population, including both adults and youth, who present with a variety of mental health challenges. Your expertise in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma, and substance use disorders is invaluable, allowing you to address complex cases effectively. Your contributions will directly support clients in their journey towards recovery, wellness, and a meaningful life.

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Current and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of two years of experience in counseling, ideally within a clinical context.
• Medical knowledge of legal and ethical standards in mental health care.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and build relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience working collaboratively with a healthcare team.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software and relevant technologies.

While not mandatory, the following experiences are highly desirable for applicants:

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma, or substance misuse.
• Experience with evidence-based therapeutic methodologies and clinical best practices.
• A demonstrated capacity for training and mentoring other team members.
