Familiarity with version control systems like Git, collaboration tools such as Slack or Zoom, and basic knowledge of integrated development environments (IDEs) are common requirements. Seeking regular feedback and documenting your progress can also help you stay engaged and on track with your learning objectives.

What is a remote software internship?

A remote software internship is a temporary work experience in software development that allows interns to perform their tasks from a location outside of the company’s physical office, usually from home. Interns work on real-world projects, collaborate with teams using digital communication tools, and gain practical skills in areas like coding, debugging, and software design. This format offers flexibility, exposure to industry practices, and the opportunity to build a professional network without relocating.

Expected Learning Objectives & Professional Advancement Opportunities:

  • Strengthen storytelling skills by transforming interview footage and research-based content into clear, engaging, and audience-centered narratives
  • Apply principles of digital media production to optimize video content for web and social media platforms, including pacing, formatting, and audience engagement strategies
  • Build collaboration and communication skills through iterative feedback cycles with cross-functional teams in a mission-driven organization
  • Gain experience in media asset management, including organizing, archiving, and maintaining video content for efficient production workflows

Required Qualifications:

  • Ideal Candidates Are:
    • Students studying Film, Television and Digital Media, Art and Design, Journalism, or Recording Arts and Production
    • Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro)
