• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, thoroughly evaluating how co-occurring medical conditions impact the mental health of each patient.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that integrate mental health services with necessary medical interventions to foster holistic healing.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to meet diverse patient needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of care, sharing insights and resources to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Deliver crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring patient safety and appropriate follow-up care.
• Educate patients about the interplay between mental health and physical well-being, equipping them with tools and knowledge to manage their conditions effectively.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records in alignment with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings and case reviews to discuss best practices, treatment strategies, and patient progress.
• Stay informed about advancements in mental health care and integrated treatment approaches, contributing to a culture of continuous learning.

This role focuses on a diverse population of individuals, particularly veterans, who may experience a range of mental health conditions, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. Many patients also present with co-occurring medical issues, which necessitate a compassionate and skilled approach to treatment that considers both mental and physical health aspects.

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R, Licensed Psychoanalyst, Psychologist, or LMFT within New York State.
• Demonstrated experience in providing mental health care for individuals with complex needs, particularly those with co-occurring conditions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
• A solid understanding of ethical guidelines, maintaining professional boundaries while fostering a trusting therapeutic environment.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and relevant software applications.

• Previous experience working with veteran populations or within military family support services.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and strategies to address the specific needs of veterans.
• Experience in crisis management and emergency intervention techniques.
