We're seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead the teams responsible for our core data processing services. In this role, you'll oversee the systems that transform petabytes of raw collected data into structured, searchable information that our customers rely on to navigate complex legal matters. Your teams will build and maintain services where speed, reliability, and accuracy are non-negotiable-these systems are mission-critical to our customers' workflows and handle massive scale daily.

Job Description and Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee design, development, and operationof the Processing Discover serviceswith a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.

  • Drive modernization initiatives, including migration to microservices and adoptionof cloud-native technologies.

  • Set technical direction,driveengineeringstandards, andestablishoperational processes.

  • Contribute to the product roadmap and use it to guide team priorities, execution, and backlog decisions.

  • Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a strong operational mindset and domainexpertise.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience managing engineering teams responsible for mission-critical, high-throughput, low-latency cloud services.

  • Solid foundational knowledge in software engineering fundamentals, including system design, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, andmicroservicearchitectures.

  • Experience building scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systemsina public cloudenvironment.

  • Strong operationalskills with a focus onautomation,observability, metrics driven decision making,and rapid incident responsiveness.

  • Ability to quickly learn and lead in a complex, domain-specific technical environment.

  • Experience leading teams using Scrum or other agile development frameworks.

Preferred Backgrounds:

  • Track recordof modernizing legacy ormonolithicarchitectures to microservices.

  • Experience managing remote teams or distributed team members.

  • Familiarity with cloud computing, big data, and data engineering technologies (e.g., Temporal, Spark, Azure Data Lake Storage).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

The expected salary range for this role is between following values:

$155,000 and $233,000

The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
