In addition to technical execution, you will serve as a primary client-facing engineer, engaging directly with key stakeholders to articulate technical solutions, streamline business workflows, and deliver impactful technology that improves healthcare delivery and outcomes.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Interface directly with clients and business stakeholders to communicate technical solutions, architectural decisions, and project status effectively
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy resilient microservices, RESTful APIs, and user interface applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Redux (NgRx) on Azure Cloud
  • Build event-driven streaming solutions and data integration pipelines leveraging Apache Kafka, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Managed Instance (SQL MI)
  • Design, develop, and deploy software solutions and intelligent applications to address complex business challenges with an emphasis on responsible technology use
  • Leverage enterprise tools and emerging technologies to streamline workflows, automate processes, and drive continuous software engineering improvements
  • Evaluate emerging technology trends to inform technical solution design, architecture, and strategic software innovation
  • Collaborate with product owners, technical architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable, robust technical solutions
  • Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices, design patterns, and security standards
  • Participate in architectural reviews, technical design evaluations, and code reviews to ensure system performance, code quality, and security
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application issues, performance bottlenecks, and operational incidents

You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear directions on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of software development experience in lieu of a degree
  • 5 years of professional software engineering experience delivering enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot
  • 3 years of experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectural patterns
  • 3 years of experience with relational database management systems, such as SQL Server or Azure SQL Managed Instance (SQL MI)
  • 2 years of experience designing and developing UI applications using Angular (or Angular 18 ) and Redux (NgRx) for scalable, responsive user experiences
  • 2 years of experience in client-facing technical roles, communicating complex software engineering concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • 2 years of experience leveraging Azure cloud services and cloud data platforms
  • 2 years of experience developing, integrating, or deploying software solutions that incorporate automated workflows or AI/machine learning capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:
