Role Overview

We are seeking a senior-level software engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and building scalable software for a growing SaaS platform. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will have significant input into architecture, design, and technology decisions as the team modernizes its platform. You will work closely with other experienced engineers and product leaders in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support production SaaS applications.
  • Help define architecture and technical direction for next-generation platform initiatives.
  • Solve complex data challenges involving data modeling, scalability, and performance.
  • Build software that efficiently handles large volumes of data.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Explore and implement modern technologies, including practical AI capabilities.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 7+ years of software engineering experience building and delivering commercial software products, including architecture and design. Experience should include building customer-facing SaaS, data, or AI solutions and working within large codebases.

Technical Skills:

  • Heavy data experience with SQL and data warehousing, with a proven ability to solve challenging data architecture and data modeling problems.
  • 3+ years of experience with JavaScript development.
  • Experience with .NET and SaaS development.
  • Understanding of cloud-based SaaS architectures and scalable application design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with modern data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.
  • Experience building or integrating customer-facing AI capabilities, with exposure to concepts such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
  • Experience with Azure and .NET full-stack development.
  • Experience modernizing legacy applications or participating in major platform rebuilds.
  • ServiceNow application development experience.
  • Experience working in a smaller company environment.
