Job Summary:
If you are a Design Engineer professional looking for an exciting opportunity, Ideal Steel in Broussard, Louisiana, has a phenomenal opportunity for you! This role is responsible for providing accurate and complete designs in a timely manner while following standard company practices and procedures. This position is also responsible for final design and making sure all codes and loads have been evaluated. Additionally, this is a sales support position that assists Ideal Steel's sales and detailing departments within commercial, heavy industrial, conventional, and hybrid projects.

  • 3 years of experience with commercial manufacturing design.
  • Proficiency in MBS - Metal Building Software estimating program.

  • Ability to efficiently decipher documents and information received.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding architectural and structural drawings.
