Job description

The Project Manager, C-NAV is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing assigned C-NAV projects across the Americas region. This role ensures projects are delivered safely on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer, technical, quality, and HSE requirements.

The Project Manager serves as the primary coordinator between customers, operations, technical support, commercial, sales, finance, supply chain, and field personnel. The role is accountable for project performance, including schedule, cost, revenue forecasting, resource planning, risk management, customer communication, and final project closeout.

Required

  • Minimum of five years of experience in GNSS, survey services, offshore positioning, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent demonstrated knowledge and skill.

  • Minimum of three years of project management, project coordination, or equivalent project execution experience. 

  • Working knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and customer communication. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project. 

  • Ability to learn and use business systems such as PeopleSoft or similar enterprise management software, product lifecycle management systems, and customer relationship management systems. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid or remote environment. 

  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines with limited supervision. 

  • Must hold and maintain a valid passport and be able to obtain visas for international travel, as required.

Desired

  • Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline. 

  • Three to five years of experience managing survey, subsea, offshore, marine, or technology-based projects.

  • Familiarity with offshore operations, survey services, GNSS, positioning systems, or subsea robotics. 

  • Project Management Professional certification or similar project management certification. 

  • Experience supporting bids, proposals, commercial reviews, customer presentations, financial forecasting, margin tracking, or project cost control.

  • Strong project planning, organization, communication, and execution skills. 

  • Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into clear project requirements. 

  • Ability to lead without direct authority and keep project teams aligned on priorities, deliverables, and timelines. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and make timely decisions. 

  • Strong financial awareness, including revenue, cost, margin, invoicing, forecasting, and variance reporting. 

  • Ability to review technical documents, quality plans, procedures, project reports, and customer deliverables. 

  • Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and commitment to safety, quality, customer service, and continuous improvement.

Working Conditions 

  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night. 
  • Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place. 
  • Work surface is stable (flat).

Project Planning and Execution

  • Lead assigned C-NAV projects from initiation through closeout, including project planning, scheduling, resource coordination, execution, monitoring, and final delivery. 

  • Review project scope, contract requirements, technical specifications, customer deliverables, funding limits, and schedule expectations to ensure clear project objectives. 

  • Manage day-to-day project activities, including coordination of personnel, equipment, logistics, technical support, and operational readiness. 

  • Monitor project progress, identify issues or delays, and adjust plans, priorities, or resources as needed to support safe and efficient project delivery. 

  • Support offshore and onshore activities as required, including procedure review, mobilization planning, demobilization support, and operational follow-up.

Financial and Commercial Management

  • Set up, manage, and monitor project budgets in alignment with approved scope, pricing, and commercial terms. 

  • Provide revenue and cost forecasts, including accruals, margin tracking, variance explanations, and financial updates for assigned projects. 

  • Review project financial performance and escalate cost, schedule, revenue, or margin risks in a timely manner. 

  • Review and approve project-related requisitions, supplier invoices, customer invoices, and support accounts receivable resolution as needed. 

  • Coordinate with Commercial, Sales, and other stakeholders during tender reviews, bid preparation, proposal development, and scope clarification.

Customer and Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned projects and maintain clear, timely communication with customers and internal stakeholders. 

  • Provide regular project updates covering schedule, scope, risks, changes, financial performance, technical requirements, and operational needs. 

  • Work with customers to understand project expectations, design ideas, technical requirements, constraints, and success criteria. 

  • Support customer presentations, project reviews, and business development activities in coordination with Sales and Commercial teams. 

  • Build strong working relationships with customers, vendors, field personnel, and cross-functional teams to support successful project delivery.

Technical, Quality, and HSE Compliance

  • Review and approve project quality plans, technical procedures, project documentation, and customer-required deliverables. 

  • Develop or support project-specific procedures when required. 

  • Ensure assigned projects comply with applicable technical, operational, quality, HSE, and regulatory requirements. 

  • Support implementation of company HSE and Quality Management Systems throughout project execution. 

  • Work with Technical Support, operations, and project personnel to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with applicable bulletins and standards.

Resource and Team Coordination

  • Coordinate personnel, equipment, technical support, supply chain, finance, and field resources required for assigned projects. 

  • Establish work plans for each project phase and communicate roles, responsibilities, priorities, and timelines to project contributors. 

  • Provide functional directions to assigned project teams and operational personnel during project execution.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and customers to confirm resource availability, project readiness, and operational support needs. 

  • Maintain required training and support training compliance as directed by management.

Risk, Change, and Performance Management

  • Identify, document, and communicate project risks, issues, assumptions, constraints, and potential impacts 

  • Develop mitigation plans to reduce downtime, project delays, cost overruns, customer impact, or profitability loss. 

  • Manage project changes in accordance with company processes, customer expectations, and approved commercial terms. 

  • Track project lessons learned and recommended improvements to planning, reporting, communication, and execution processes.

Travel

  • Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support customer meetings, project execution, mobilizations, demobilizations, audits, or business needs.
