• Fully remote work opportunity: Teammates in this key engineering role have the option to work fully remote. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited school.

• Proficient verbal and written communication in the English language. • Strong knowledge of structural building codes: IBC, AISC 360, AISC 341, AISC 358, ASCE7, AISI, etc. • Structural Engineer (S.E.) registration in the United States with the ability to be licensed in Illinois.

• Resides within the continental United States, availability as followed: Minimum 8 consecutive hours Available from 9 am to 3 pm CST • Ability to travel to home division or job sites as needed. (<10% travel) • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future) Preferred Qualifications: A background in Engineering in the Pre-Engineered Metal Building Industry. • Proficiency with some type of metal building design software package.
