As a mental health therapist in our community health clinic environment, you will utilize digital platforms for client interactions, assessments, and therapy sessions, ensuring convenience and comfort for both you and your clients.

• Deliver comprehensive mental health counseling services to individuals, utilizing a proactive and empathetic approach to address clients’ diverse needs.
• Conduct thorough assessments to determine the appropriate treatment plans tailored to each client’s mental health concerns, including mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders.
• Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to their plans based on evolving needs.
• Engage in regular communication and collaboration with medical providers and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure holistic treatment approaches.
• Embrace a multi-session yet brief therapy model, facilitating outpatient sessions aimed at rapid and effective health behavior change.
• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical records, adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements in the mental health field.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in mental health care.

In your role, you will primarily work with adult clients from various backgrounds facing mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and other comorbid chronic conditions. Your expertise will not only improve their mental health outcomes but also contribute to their overall wellness as part of our integrated health approach.

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related mental health field is required.
• Current licensure is essential, with candidates needing to be fully licensed by their State Board to practice independently (e.g., LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PsyD).
• A reliable internet connection is necessary to facilitate remote sessions and maintain effective communication.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing caseloads efficiently.
• Strong ethical standards and commitment to legal compliance in mental health practices.
• Cultural competence and an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion in mental health service provision are critical for success in this role.

• At least two years of direct experience as a mental health therapist, preferably in a community health setting.
• Experience with interdisciplinary team collaboration and integrated care models is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms will be advantageous.
