As a Remote School Social Worker, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual counseling to students with stable, low-acuity mental health needs through video consultations.
• Conducting compassionate and ethical assessments to determine each student's treatment needs.
• Developing, implementing, and continually monitoring individualized treatment plans based on person-centered and recovery-oriented approaches.
• Fostering the development of coping skills, problem-solving strategies, and effective communication techniques among students.
• Collaborating with educators and families to create a comprehensive support network for each student.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of interactions and progress notes in compliance with regulations and standards.

This role primarily focuses on providing psychological support to students in a school setting, ranging from elementary to high school age. The ideal candidate will be adept at building rapport with young individuals, understanding their unique challenges, and presenting them with appropriate coping mechanisms and interventions. Your expertise will help students navigate academic pressures, peer relationships, and personal issues, thereby enhancing their overall well-being and academic performance.

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Possess a Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
• Hold a valid and current state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker with R Privilege (LCSW-R).
• Be independently licensed and able to practice without supervision.
• Have no disciplinary actions on your record.
• Exhibit exceptional interpersonal and empathetic skills necessary for effective counseling.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using digital communication tools and software relevant to teletherapy.
• Maintain stable and reliable internet connectivity to facilitate remote sessions.

While not mandatory, the following qualifications would be advantageous:

• Experience working with adolescents or in school settings.
• Familiarity with clinical assessment tools and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Experience in developing programs or workshops aimed at improving student mental health and resilience.
