Virtual School Social Worker, Part Time

Compensation
Hourly Rate: $55/per hour direct services only

Michigan
100% Remote / Work From Home

Position Summary

RCM Health Care is seeking qualified and compassionate School Social Workers to provide virtual therapy services to school students throughout Michigan. This is a fully remote, part-time opportunity utilizing our HIPAA/FERPA-compliant virtual platform, including games, materials, and assessments provided at no cost to the provider. This caseload-building position offers flexibility, allowing clinicians to manage their own schedules and accept as many students as desired.

Responsibilities

• Flexible scheduling with the ability to manage your own caseload
• Provide virtual services in accordance with student IEPs
• Complete assessments as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided
• Collaborate with school teams, families, and related service providers as needed

Education

• Required: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (BSW) or Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)

Licenses & Certifications

• Required: Active MI Board LARA SSW License – BSW or MSW
• LMSW licenses will not be accepted
• Limited licenses will not be accepted
• Required: MDE Professional School Social Worker Certificate (new license) OR MDE SSW Certification Letter with full approval and a resume demonstrating continued work in a Michigan school within the last 5 years of onboarding

Requirements

• Previous virtual therapy and/or assessment experience preferred
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain compliance with school, state, and federal regulations

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage a virtual caseload and scheduling
• Proficiency with virtual therapy platforms and documentation systems
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary educational teams
