Work Schedule: Flexible schedule, approximately 10 hours per week. Candidates can work a schedule that aligns with their availability, such as two 5-hour days per week.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a temporary, fully remote Social Media Assistant to support their Communications team during a leave of absence. This role will focus on creating and adapting social media content across multiple platforms, including written copy, graphics, photography, and short-form video. The ideal candidate will have experience managing social media channels, creating engaging digital content, and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with developing and publishing social media content across multiple platforms.
  • Create and adapt content including written copy, images, graphics, and short-form videos.
  • Support social media storytelling efforts and digital engagement initiatives.
  • Help execute planned projects while also responding to occasional quick-turn content requests.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to ensure content aligns with organizational goals and messaging.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience supporting social media management and content creation.
  • Experience creating short-form video content for social platforms.
  • Strong storytelling, writing, and content development skills.
  • Familiarity with graphic design and video editing tools; Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Nonprofit or conservation experience is a plus but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is not required.

  • Social media portfolio/work samples must be included with submission.
